Always a good day when a new guitar arrives. The unboxing.
New original condition. Problems keeping in tune when using tremolo. Needs new locking tuners and neck bolt fittings strengthening.
Original neck bolt holes poorly drilled at factory, right top bolt off centre.
Original neck bolt hole on top right is bigger than rest too.
Filled top right neck bolt hole, and re drilled.
Re-drilled neck bolt holes ready for the nec tite threaded bolt fitting.
nec tite system installed and checking bolt depth.
Finding right centre for decal.
Face down on hard surface, draw holes for machine heads.
Also draw around head-stock for cut out line.

Find centre for truss rod cover decal cut out and draw around.
Always double check before cutting.
Clean all head-stock ready for decal.
Clean off excess hydration fluid.
Clean up edges of decal with scalpel and rub on with clean cloth to ensure edges don’t peel.

bubbles with card.
New Machine heads laid out after testing threads match with sleeves.
New locking Machine Head close up.
Added a drop of glue to tuning head sleeves to keep them secure.
Add sleeves first, this way will avoid pushing decal off when fitting machine heads. Washers help keep decal edges in place.
New tuning head screws fit into original holes, avoiding multiple hole locations, keeps things tidy.
New after market locking tuners fitted to help cure tuning issues with termolo.
New machine heads after installation.
Finished headstock. New strings with decal.
Finished for now, going to install new pickups, metal pickup guards & replace chrome parts with Black. Holds tune great now. Tuned to drop D on 9-46 Gauge strings.
